Vesalius Scholar Presentation at AMI, Atlanta, GA

Eva Mae Natividad had the unique opportunity to present the research of Samantha (Olson) Clemens at the annual meeting of the Association of Medical Illustrators. This talk, entitled "Visualizing Velopharyngeal Insufficiency: Animation's Role on Improving Preoperative Anxiety and Understanding," investigated animation as a form of patient education. Eva Mae and Samantha worked collaboratively with two other graduate students, Melanie Conrad and Sam Bond, to produce four different animations for the UIC Craniofacial Center.
